It's okay if they are small lies with no consequences.

So how we know when you speak the truth ... small lies ok most of us do that, but some make entire careers out of lying for sympathy ...

They aren't caring about you if it's a lie. Because it's not actually you.

it is a symptom of other problems as well.

the other thing is, the individual will reap a bitter harvest, after the others find out the truth. it takes years to build a good reputation, and only an instant to destroy it.

People lie about cancer to get money. It's a scam, so what you are doing is a scam too.
