Please help me find a PS1 game I used to play

I used to play a game on PS1 way back in the day. The character you play as has red hair. I believe he also had a sword but am not sure. It's like an adventure game but with fighting. The only detail I really remember is that there were big stones (kind of in the shape of epitaphs) with two foot prints on it, indicating you had to kick them to get them out of the way so you could proceed. The artwork felt very Japanese as well.
