Pluribus, from the creator of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul
So I finished watching the first two episodes of Pluribus, and I gotta say Vince Gilligan has done it again, creating one of the best shows ever made. I've loved his work since The X-Files and this truly feels like a modern day Twilight Zone series, I'm extremely excited to see more of the show

I will ♥♥♥♥ on Apple all day long, but I love how they are flat out rejecting AI, and their culture of shows is not based off nostalgia, it's all original high quality shows, shows like Ted Lasso, Shrinking, Severance, and many more.
yeah? i am interested in it, i like breaking bad and i adore better call saul. its a sci fi show, aye? which is definitely quite a bit different than his previous series, but still intrigued. and it stars kims actor from BCS, which is cool because she easily had some of the best acting and character development in BCS.
I cannot think of one show that I have viewed regularly that has a female lead, I will pass.
I second craigsters. I'd love to watch it some day, but I'm not paying for another streaming service just to watch a show.

Not a problem. I watched all of Breaking Bad years after it was finished.
Been thinking about getting the Apple/Peacock bundle. 1 more reason to consider it. (I never watched Breaking Bad, but this show looks at least potentially interesting.)

Most female leads in movies and television are so poorly written that they are presented as a cross between Wonder Woman and Bruce Lee. How many times have you watched a 115 pound women whip her way thru a group of thuggish 200 pound men? It bends realism so much that I loose interest within a minute or two. Or they are completely ruined because the writer wants to push some political agenda rather then tell a story.

Well written female characters like Clarice from Silence of the Lambs or Ripley from Alien are far and few between. I enjoyed those characters quite a bit but they are not what attracted me to the movies. Sci Fi with Alien brought me in and honestly I do not remember what brought me in to Silence of the Lambs but it was not Jodi Foster, it was the hype (marketing) of the movie most likely. Jodie Foster's part was just so well written that it became a memorable character. Both parts were well written, not Wonder Womanish, and enjoyable. Almost all female leads are so poorly written that almost all shows or movies with a female out front I give an instant pass.

I also do not purchase or play video games with female protagonists, I have no interest in them. My wife is currently playing thru the Mass Effect series of games again and I do enjoy watching her have fun playing the female Shepard and I know that she does not enjoy games that force her to play a male character nearly as much. Same thing for me, I cannot relate to playing as a female character or a female lead in shows or movies.

that game might have one of the saddest "10/10 trailers to really awful product" stories of all time. along with the 2016 suicide squad film, which had great trailers but...

Presumably if I disliked Breaking Bad, I'll probably dislike this too. The premise sounds dumb, but maybe the execution is better.
The series has an interesting beginning: the interplanetary message contains an encrypted DNA code for a virus.
I watched two episodes; it's an interesting film.
I'll be waiting for the sequel...
