$5 a month yes
oh well ! time to sell to some middle eastern country like ea did
I always thought it was a good deal, pay one month, play whatever slop AAAa game "day one" for that month(or rather week) then cancel it. Never did it myself but sounds cheaper than buying a new game without a discount.
Or well it used to be the case, if the lowest tier is 30$? Then nah not worth it.
How long are gamepass subscribers going to keep subscribed? A year? Two? Five? Do they keep subscribed long term? 10 years?
At $30 a month that's $360 a year. In 10 years they will have paid $3,600 to rent games.
Someday, inevitably, Gamepass will shut down because no service lasts forever. On that day all these people will permanently lose access to their games.
On that day, I will still have my collection of Playstation and Nintendo games because they are all physical objects and I own them.
Which is why over the past few years I've been buying more Nintendo games and DRM-free games at GOG. GOG will let you download a DRM-free installer for your games so you can keep them forever.
Money is more important than this. Games as a service should not exist.
I'd rather buy a bag of used potato chips on eBay
