I7 14700k under load gaming getting 1.350v
Just want to know is this a good spot to be at and it won’t accelerate degradation of the cpu

just make sure bios is updated so it wont overvolt the cpu

every piece of silicon is different

I tested cyberpunk and last of us 2 both 1440p ultra settings and I’m still sitting around 1.350 to 1.370 volts and average volts says 1.313v

I also have long power duration to 125 watts instead of 253 so temps are alittle better while playing

thats totally fine.

are you overclocking this cpu? or is this stock

It’s stock wasn’t tryna oc this one just got turbo boost on and stuff from intel bios settings

yeah that voltage is normal.
or reset bios to default, and do not manually oc (other than using xmp)

the cpus are defects from the factory and intel knows it, thats why they pushed bios updates to nerf the cpus some to extend their useful lifespan

Is it normal for it to still hover around there when not gaming? Cuz mine does

fake news..:steamfacepalm:it was mostly the 13th gen due to default bios setting and some do to oxidation if you manually set core and voltage you will have no problems which most dont do or at least not till time requires you to do it when more power is needed in the future.

I also got my i7 14700k like 3 weeks ago so I’m up to latest microcode and haven’t had issues just tryna keep voltage in check and temps too

there is a reason intel extended the warranty on them

Also I noticed some cores on the cpu will spike to 1.427 is the max I saw for a single core is that normal? It’s not consistent just a quick spike but for actual vcore of entire cpu only had a spike to 1.403v

yeah thats normal
staying under 1.5v while at max turbo is fine
and with a good cooler, lower temps are even better

Yeah it never goes that high and I have a 360mm aio liquid cooler my temps already always between 60c to 70c
Not sure why anyone is still willingly using Intel CPUs at this point especially the ones the literally break.
