Still get updates.
TPM chips will never stop cheating, it can all be done in the games code. Using a TPM chip puts your pc at risk, if the chip decides to fail, if its built from sub par materials, if your pc is struck by light from the sun and causes bit shifting and the chip to fail - all your data encrypted to the chip is now inaccessible because you failed to account for the sun, and the narcissistic greed of the share holders who started this world wide scam. Any company with any sane leadership would black list share holders who vote on such decisions.
If you write the correct protocols into your games code and server code, you can write out any form of cheating. This way, you won't get some shareholder paying a group of hackers to create cheats, so they can fund a phony company to create a fake anti cheat software and scam companies out of money, playing on fear to stop cheating.
There does not need to be any form of anti cheat software, period. All you need is run time checks in your functions, taking full advantage of C++'s Standards and Practices, and ensure all checks are done on all threads. If you write good clean efficient code, it does not impact performance. This way, some scammy company will not be able to sell you a bloated program, designed to stop cheats they created and claim, "well its quite resource intensive because it stops all the hackers."
This is the sort of thing, and uninformed share holders believe who is not educated in the technology they are investing in, and will think chunking money at a problem will solve it, instead of using the resources at hand who are creating the product, knowing they chose to be in this line of work because they enjoyed making a good product that sells well.
FYI There is an army of troll bots, spamming most major video games forums complaining about cheaters, so scammy companies and sell products that do nothing.
Photons and bit shifting, theres your scientific solution.
Very coherent rebuttal, I like how you decided to provide a scientific counter point to my array of facts. Not one of my facts have actually been disproven in your response, and have shown no supporting counter evidence. While my evidence is in all my facts, and scientific knowledge of how programming and hardware works.
You're either quite young and naive to the extent of sharky business practices, or are one of the dregs of society who choose to spend their time spreading lies about how desperately everyone needs to buy the latest buzz in viral anti cheat marketing.
if you wish i can explain you what phonons are and what C++ destructors are .
If your viral anti cheat software isn't working the way it is intended, perhaps try using protection, or maybe abstain altogether, because it sounds like you put your tpm chip in the wrong computer.
Next you'll be trying to sell radiation proof chips - its radxtpm bonanza.
Before you try, go and look how the fukashima decomissioning is going with Veolia, I'll save you the bother, the material does not exist.
i understand your frustration but there re cheaters , pirates ,hackers . The devolpers have found ways to fight them . unfortunately we the rest have to stand these inconveniences.
Maybe if we voice our frustration , they ll invent other methods to fight the hackers and pirates
@Raa'hu , you dont need to buy a TPM module .You just have to enable a setting in BIOS , available on any modern motherboard .in fact the TPM functionality is implemented inside the modern CPUs
That dude needs help...
