its like games userprofile or config has change somehow after the crash, and as i get it you have several saves from 0 to 9, so some of them most work.
Issue with cloud save on any platform, the moment you close the game, it sync those files to the cloud replacing whatever there, and vice versa.
So if something happens like corrupt, or missing save file, don't close game, alt + tab instead, and go manually download your save files. Steam allows this you go to steam help page > my account > data related to my account > steam cloud > search for your game and download your save files. Then just make copy, and replace the current corrupt/missing files, then force close game without saving, then launch the game to see if that restore you old save you had.

We have seen ppl before with fiddle with the wrong write behind cache on SSD or hardrives in the old days.
This is same then ppl use apps and forget save current work and powershortage monster come and kick our butt, ( there is no monstaer i made a comment on so ppl get it. )
same then play a game for 8 hour and you did not save now and then, no diffrence then you can't go back and undo a queat, we have all seen this and did it.
