Now, as far as the purchase issue, a lot of Steam users have been saying for the last week that buying is a bit unpredictable right now. Sometimes the servers go down, sometimes the server simply doesn't respond, sometimes it freezes entirely, it just depends. Unfortunately, you can't fix this, only Steam Support can. I've heard they're working on increasing their server capability soon.
For the lagging aspect of this, that just happens when either the cpu or server is bogged down with an overwhelming amount of instructions at one time. This can happen to anyone on any system. Even the beastly computers have their limits.
I wouldn't usually recommend that you buy new hardware because of something like this. I find that 80 to 90% of the problems we face online aren't because of us, but the connection. Your best bet is to do what I did to get more reliable internet: use Ethernet rather than wi-fi
I'm gonna try to relaunch Steam but i'm not sure it's gonna help, i'll see.
Anyway thanks to you dude!
So what's going on here?
-I could not reach the SHOP, lag then black screen when i clicked on shop (front page)
-When i wanted to load a game, it took a lot of time coz Steam Cloud was not running, then i had a message saying that cloud is not responding and i could lose my last save if i choose to run the game
-I could not load my wishlist, i had a message saying that i did it too many times (error)
So it's always the same thing, Steam is not working well during 15 or 30 minutes
It's not my internet provider, my internet works perfectly, i checked that (i have a good internet provider, very expensive (twice more expensive than the others) but the best in my country (France, Europe)
It was apparently a DDoS attack "today" across multiple services.

For now seems to be stable. Hopefully this is the end of the attacks.
Apparently it was enough to bring Steam down so it was strong enough as it was that is.
I just find it funny when you look at the sites which list downtimes, people comment that they are angry about the downtime, even making accounts just to comment.
They could just do other stuff in the meantime.
I mean there is no way to keep such large DDoS attacks out and at the same time everything online, probably with smaller attacks but...
Voip doesnt work
Steam is crashing out for hours with globally being down and more
Oh wow, I was having issues using Reddit at the same time too. I think even Discord channels were having trouble loading as well...
Steam friend list just dropped out for a few minutes again, back just now
Stupid DDOS attacks..ugh. I hate them.
So could they of stolen people's info who were playing games during the DDOS attack?
If was a data breach steam would of told you so.
Yea, i know. That is my paronoia. I usually control it very well. I know you cannot get info from a DDOS attack. IT is like throwing garbage data at a server.
