He did not ask if ppl wanted to give upp gaming in generall. just question if people would get through with their threads to leaving steam, with all their games and annuall sales or feuture releases. While not knowing they are actually working on the problem or not.
I think the point you're missing..........yeah.....people just might leave.
I mean "Solo" did really well, and that was Star Wars....you think pepole can't buy games elsewhere?
Be careful how confident you are in welcoming a mass exodus there sparticus.
I've been here 13 years now, and I think this UI incident is just the most recent example of the developer degredation that valve has suffered in the last few years.
People keep wanting them to release a new half-life, I honestly don't think they could do it even if they wanted to, if they jacked up their own client, i doubt they could handle a game like that anymore, and that's just soul crushing to think but I feel like this is what is going on.
Valve quietly and over the span of years moved from a game development company to a marketing company, and they did suffer a brain drain, with alot of their senior developers leaving and now all of a sudden, really in the first time that I've been here it seems this is the one time i can remember besides steams EARLY days where a change to the client seemed to be so universally hated.
Well, we'll see what will come.
You seem to forget that people who don't care or are happy with it, won't post threads about.
Oh, and looking at your profile name, if you really mean quit Steam, that includes using the forums here.
I mean if you really, really mean to "quit Steam", that includes using the forums, right ?
Otherwise, it's just hypocritical. New users that make new accounts also won't really care about these changes, as it won't be a "change" for them. So they won't care. And Steam will just keep growing and growing.
Trust me.
