Win 10 is also no longer supported, will not reseve any more updates from Microsoft
I guess it makes sense now that 10 is EOL.
Anyway, they offered it for years. You had time. You chose to ignore the writing on the walls.
Sometime in the last year or two, MS finally stopped offering it, several years after the original cut-off date.
Install Linux on the VirtualBox. Install Steam on the Linux distribution to use Steam and game.
Or just install Linux Mint and be done with Windows 7.

No need to upgrade to an inferior OS.

It does not cost that much for a Pro version.
I hope your Windows 7 OS is the 64-bit kind?
If no way to get Windows 10 OS exists, due to it being not sold anymore, then I am afraid you need Windows 11.
(which may or may not work well on your PC, it depends)
It is HIGHLY unlikely that his hardware will run win 11 though.
If in the past the upgrade was done and W10 successfully activated with a W7 key, it will automatically be activated in the future if the hardware didn't change.
Well this is the consequences of your own actions. Should have gone to Win10 when you had the chance.
Win10 or Win11 are not bad at all. All though if your CPU is older than 8:th Gen you won't be able to run 11.
But overall both of these OS works just fine and they will not stop you from doing anything.
There isn't much more to do than try and get Win10 key and go for that.
