Fluff yes.

Sure, it's rough, it's a bit opaque at times and it can crash, but if a game can keep me up until dawn, then it's gooooood. Totally recommend a controller with paddles though, because L3 for boost is painful.

Anyhow, ♥♥♥♥ the chuds for abusing Double Damage for completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reasons. If they hadn't this would have gotten polished up and have more ships to try out. And proper Joystick/HOTAS support for the grognards. And yes, this applies to those complaining about it being abbandoned as well, because hint, you're also part of the problem.

Now what do you get for your space bux? A more causal space flight game that is still pretty crunchy and requires you to use your brain and will not hold your hand. But if you take the time, you'll quickly get it and learn too that water trading is your path to riches. So you can then become the scurge of pirates/traders :3 You even get a decent play pen and while some will complain about the whole "press A to autopilot" this is a US$30 game, done by a 5 person team. You can also just use L1 to hit sublight and travel manually if you want to.

I will note however everything is instanced except for the trade goods and pirate lords etc. Which means space trucking is for the brave only. If you want peaceful space trucking, well, that's what the X games are for. Just make sure to have a good joystick for them :P This also means the game is constantly throwing stuff at you, so the game loop keeps rolling and rolling and rolling.

And then it's 6am and the sun is rising ;-;

Oh it also has the best pool game I've ever seen implemented (it's just as frustrating as the real thing lawl) and a killer set of soundtracks and if you want, you too can fly to the sounds of Wussy, Mogwai or Queens of the Stone Age via setting the launcher to use those tracks :3

Anyhow, I hope one day we'll see a return to Rebel Galaxy, It's a faint hope, but the shear amount of love the devs showed in this and the first game makes it so sad we don't get to see how it ends up. Also, we need more semi-casual single player space games like this damn it. Because Star Citizen is a) never coming and b) going to be a total schemoozle of a ♥♥♥♥-fest and the big publishers have rocks for brains when it comes to games like this.

I loved Privateer and this too. My computer keeps crashing and I am too lazy to try and fix it.
