Tighter and Faster Paced with a bit more action, not to bad at all.

What’s Good: The expansion offers more varied, visually interesting, and open environments than the base game. The new Grabber gun (which can redirect projectiles) and double-barreled shotgun are welcome additions. Multiplayer sees improvements with an 8-player cap and a fun new CTF mode.

What’s Bad: It retains the original’s core flaws: predictable monster-closet traps, simplistic AI, and repetitive gameplay. The price ($34.99) is considered too high for the content. The new "Hell Time" artifact power feels required rather than optional, and the Grabber gun can be awkward in close combat.

Verdict: Resurrection of Evil is a decent expansion that fixes some of Doom 3’s monotony with better levels and fun new toys. However, it doesn't address the dated AI and overused "trap" design. At full price, it's hard to recommend. It’s best purchased on sale for fans who weren't bothered by the original's shortcomings, but it falls short of the depth seen in contemporaries like *Half-Life 2* or F.E.A.R.
