An older title that has stood the test of time, Men of War combines RTS with squad tactics, and packages it with a flavour of Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers.
The campaigns are excellent, the special effects are realistic and the battlefield dynamics are intense. The camera is also fully rotatable and the ability to custom control to WASD keys is provided (unlike in Company of Heroes).

The game however does have a couple of small bugs, and being several years old it may appear a little clunky at times. Some players have also stated Men of War is too challenging. Indeed the game is unforgiving, however, most of the hard sections can be overcame by using the direct control feature and operating the tanks/units yourself.

Quite often Men of War is on sale and you can pick it up for 60p, however it's probably worth the full price. Highly recommended for military strategists!
