Fun game, a bit of a combination of Battle Brothers' style world map and combat, Darkest Dungeon's dungeons and character builds. Combat is challenging, in particular early in the campaign, and the game has a lot of difficulty settings if your units begin to out-scale the enemies. The campaign is a full story that's much more personal than Battle Brothers', but the open world still gives plenty of freedom to roam. The pixel art is fantastic.

There's a decent amount of variety in the character classes, each with 6 different skills (4 of which can be equipped) and modifier trees for each of those skills. The game encourages you to have some overlap and experiment with builds. Class balance seems mostly okay.

It is a somewhat small game, as I felt myself wishing there were more classes and more different types of enemies to fight. It would have also been nice to have more involved boss fights and objectives that aren't just clearing the enemies. Thanks to the medium length campaign, the game also didn't overstay it's welcome for me as I only did side missions when the game required me to. Fun game, look forward to seeing more from this dev.
