This is the best 30$ I spent on something!
I have 463 hrs on this game at the moment and I liked every bit of it;
It has cool music, levels and mechanics.
I wouldn't say anything bad about this game.
It improved my love for invertebrates by so much and now Im an Antkeeper and I also keep other insects and arachnids like The northern dune tiger beetle [cicindela hybrida], devil's coach horse beetle [ocypus olens] and so much more!

its just okay.

I bought this game thinking it was gonna be a fun little ant based game but the story mode literally was impossible. The very first mission is to kill 10 invading ants. Seems easy just the first mission right? If only...I had 12 ants to start with but they all died without killing a single black ant so I reloaded and used ALL of the resources the game gave me to start with. Did the same mission again, same result. 19 of my own red ants vs 10 black ants and my 19 couldn't kill a single black ant. Thought it was bad rng or something, redid the mission and same result. Maybe it was a strategy problem? So I split my ants into 2 groups with one group hitting them from the front and the other from the back a classic sandwich attack but again, 19 red ants died, 0 black ants died. So I fell back to some cheese, I let the black ants get all the way to my queen without resistance and once they started attacking my queen I had all my ants come out to hit them and even with half the black ants hitting my queen my 19 red ants still lost to 5 black ants without killing a single one of them.

I do not know why the black ants are borderline invincible but it was not an enjoyable experience and there is much better colony sim games to play...
