I this found out I need to create a account 4 the in game, to able to get achievements to work. But since the online features don't work anymore. How do I get around it or something?

As said in the title, does anyone have the same problem? My connection is lost shortly after launching the game ("can't connect to the server"), and i feel like I'm not alone in this (looking at recent posts/comments here). I believe it started this month...
