its very cartoony.. not that is bad.. its just not what I was expecting.. game play isnt good..but its a little better than DS1.. not that I'm playing a mage this time around (as 'primary').. but at least mages get 'shared' xp.. so mages arent left out completely! but its the 'design' (or lack thereof) of the game that I dont like.. the base story is poor.. the quests are stupid.. the plot devices are atrocious.. and who thought having 'skill based' door requirements (to 'open' them) was a good idea!?! combat is utterly stupid.. they stand around like idiots not attacking when being attacked (it maybe an option to turn on!? but why!!)! and with the creatures teleporting all over the place.. hard to play a melee! you've gotta constantly pause the game to even see where they went! then there is 'LoS'.. the ranged wont even move to make sure it can hit the target! you gotta move them so they dont miss (and hit every wall/tree/rock/whatever instead of the target)!!! but not only that, the spell system is bogus.. they spam out all these spells which are mostly useless.. and the 'upgrades' arent! lesser vs greater versions are about 2 damage difference! its pathetic.. and the way passive vs active spells work.. it doesnt..the nature mage WONT use the heals in its passive slots, when someone is low on HP.. the warriors stop attacking to use theirs! its that bad! and the combat mage is constantly hexing/cursing ONE creature instead of attacking and killing it.. or they die in one hit because of the curse/hex drawing so much agro.. and then there are the stupid little quips the 'companions' make along the way.. it has priority over combat! they are busy 'talking away' while being pummelled to death! with SO many QoL issues its unbelievable that they considered this a sellable product.. its just a REALLY stupid and VERY bad game. these devs are beyond moronic... and even the resolution is poor and it keeps flicking between full screen (windowed!) to the 'resolution mode'... utterly useless devs!

I may try to finish it.. but with everything being so REALLY BAD.. I'm not gonna hold my breath! for something good.. play titan quest! FAR FAR superior
