We released our second update since our Early Access started! It includes a new bag, a new NPC, and new objects.

New bag: the Mimic

This bag will eat one of your item on travel, but you'll never go hungry!

New encounter: Scout Apprentice

He specialises in badges!

New items!

Here's a selection of new, fun ideas that we came up with, including the Holobook from our previous game, Pilo!

Gameplay improvements

We have made significant changes to the quantity of items you can loot, as well as implementing other balance changes. We are very happy with the current state of the game, which is closer to our original vision. Let us know what you think!

Cauldron not working?

I traded the blacksmith for this expensive cauldron. The tooltip says that it can transform "almost any item into something edible". It doesn't want to transform any of the items I carry, though. Is there a restriction and if so, how do I know beforehand what can or can't be transformed?...

Objets qui restent collé dans le décors

Petit retour depuis la dernière mise à jour, si on n'utilise pas le bon objet pour une action il reste collé sur le point d'action et on ne peut plus le remettre dans le sac.

About the update

I really like what you have done with the issues the game had upon (early) release. I didn't have time to play a lot yet, but from what I have seen, it looks good. I think that removing the tutorial was a good move, as the pop-up windows allow you more flexibility to explain your content going forward. Right now, there is still an overlap issue with the explanation windows covering some of the interactable options on the sites (for instance, I couldn't see all the couturier options). This is our first update since the Early Access release! We've received lots of feedback and tried to fix as many issues as possible. We’re a tiny team, but we’re doing our best. Please let us know what you think in the comments, in your Steam review or via the in-game form. Thank you!

Patch notes : v0.21

Our focus was on resolving as many issues as possible and implementing as many quality-of-life improvements as we could. This update does not include any new major content.

Tutorial mode is removed
Easy mode is removed
Dev note: We’ve got many comments on the complexity of the tutorial, and on the feeling the Easy mode was lacking motivational goal and difficulty. We decided to focus on our main “Story mode” and make it good. Tutorial notes will now be included directly in your first run of the game.
It’s now possible to drag objects out of the bag anywhere on the screen
New ending screen art
Added two loot zones (Forest and Swamp)
Added a run animation to the player character
A button to the Explorer’s Tree has been added to the “Base Camp” (the first zone of any game)
New language added to options: Brazilian Portuguese
New quests have been added
Added a dotted red line to indicate the limits of the bag
“Repair Equipment” now work on every object that has a lowered durability
Fixed a major issue with difficulty not adjusting according to altitude
Fixed broken quests
And many other tiny bugs

A note about the future

Things are not going as well as we had hoped. A publisher pulled out three days before the release, and sales are much lower than we expected.

We will continue working on the game using our own funds for several months to make it as good as possible. Unfortunately, however, we won't be able to include as much content as we had hoped. In the next update, we’ll provide a more detailed roadmap for future updates. Thank you to everyone who supported us during the first two weeks!

Bug: Using teleporter at the top of the mountain is a soft lock.

I wanted to see what would happen, so I decided to try it. It takes you to the map, and there's nowhere to go from there.

Life point not helping me against fainting

I had that lovely brooch that promises me one additional life point in my bag, so I was at 2 teal hearts, and was at max hunger. Upon the next screen, my run was aborted because i fainted. Isn't the reason we have the life points so that they allow us to survive one screen more? Otherwise, what is it for?...
