FISH³ - DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

The game is still getting actively worked on! Here's a small recap of things that we've been working on, and what's to come next.

Frozen Shores

Frozen Shores is the 2nd Main Game level. Cast the rod in those cold waters and find out it's inhabitants...

Rare Fish!!

If you're lucky, any fish you catch could be special, like Silver or Gold.

Upgraded Fishing UI

Gameplay UI has been completely reworked into a mix of dynamic 2D and 3D elements.

Fisherman Expressions

Our Humble Fisherman isn't that stone-faced anymore.

What's next?

A delay is always better than unfinished product, so we're taking a little more time to finish the game. Expect more bigger news in the next couple of months.

What to expect:

There will be at least 4 Main Stages.
Two-act structure for each Stage like in FIRST CATCH, and a Night variant for higher difficulty and more rare fish.
Boss Fight on the Last Stage - that's a big one! Keeping it secret for now, obviously :)
New Boat Gameplay Mechanics on each of the Main Stages.
More amazing music!!

Arch Linux game is broken

I am trying to play the game on Arch Linux. The game loads fine, but the level does not start when selecting the button to start a level. It does a little animation and then nothing happens.

FISH³ is casting it's line for Steam Fishing Fest! + Demo 1.10 Patch Notes

Hey anglers and fishes,

I'm excited to announce that FISH³ is going to be part of Steam Fishing Fest starting Jun 16th until June 23rd!! Remember to wishlist the game and leave a review on the Demo! It helps with visibility, and directly supports development.

And with that, we have updated the demo to version 1.12 featuring many gameplay improvements, fixes, and most importantly - stats and achievements!

Major Changes since 1.0:

Stage Stats: Each stage will now store it's own stats - Best Time and Best Score.
Achievements: There's now 8 achievements in the Demo!
Tutorial extended: you can freely practice after you finish the tutorial course.
Full controller support + Linux & SteamOS Build. It's playable on Steam Deck!
Changed save file formatting to JSON. It will be rewritten from the old save file automatically.

Fixes:

Fixed some cases where fishing process can be interrupted (There still is an issue with Pausing during casting animation).
Fixed resolutions support.
Fishing zone speed readjusted to match player speed more.
In-air behaviour improved. Ramps are more stable now.
Some more smaller fixes that I didn't write down.

More updates coming this week, stay tuna'd! The game is in active development so even if there's issues now, We will be doing our best for resolving them!

solid game with a buncha charm - tutorial is garboni

I really really adore the idea of this game - it took me a solid 5 or 10 minutes and at least ten restarts in the tutorial to figure out what was going on. I think it makes sense once I figured out that you gotta spam the ♥♥♥♥ out of the mouse buttons to initially catch the first fish and that you gotta hit both left and right mouse for any additional fish after. I just wanna say that I adore the style and charm, there's a lot of potential for a racing game that ALSO lets me fish and it feels very good in...

stuck in the settings because they're in the bottom right and outside of the screen, some ui in game also has this problem

Right stick bound incorrectly?

Trying to play this using a controller (Generic Xbox) on Linux and the up/down is bound to right/left and vice versa. Doesn't matter if Steam Input is enabled or not. Makes the game pretty challenging to play lol
