The Dark Queen of Mortholme is a very fresh and unique spin on boss fights, where instead of fighting the bosss... you are the boss. Instead your enemy is the player who has infinite tries and keeps coming back to challenge you. As the game goes on, the "player" starts learning your movesets and doing more damage until you eventually get defeated. The game is quite short, but it was also an enjoyable experience. There are multiple main endings, secret endings, and different dialogue options. Sometimes the dialogue was even a bit philosophical.

Overall, if you have an hour or two of time, I would suggest giving this game a shot.

its a really awesome concept, and the dialogue is lovely. i like that you can be defeated by the hero and also defeat him yourself. but i did feel like the endings were incomplete; the dialogue hints that the queen and hero could stop fighting. i feel like an ending where the queen leaves the throne to see the world and maybe even join the hero could be really neat as a secret ending

An interesting perspective flip of playing as the boss who is harassed constantly by the stubborn hero to the end. The writing was good and had some genuinely poignant moments. The pixel art was gorgeous as well.
