Having played the original Transport Tycoon and Roller Coaster Tycoon games back in the early 1990's on my x386 I naturally migrated to Locomotion in the early 2000's and it soon became my favourite over Transport Tycoon. I've played these Chris Sawyer games for the best part of my life, even building a retro-PC dedicated to Locomotion and Roller Coaster Tycoon CD installs. When I noticed this title on Steam I instantly purchased.

As the game goes it is exactly the same, with the addition of an A380 aircraft. Sadly the game screen is still square and doesn't seem to scale to modern widescreens, which was why I hoped to retire the retro-PC. Removing signals remains the bane of my life 30 years later and a few bugs such as when you replace a mail carrying aircraft and it defaults back to passengers and when a multiple drive train starts breaking down in sequence preventing it's replacement are still present.

None of these fancy new titles come anywhere near the longevity of these classics, I'll be playing this until the day I die.
