Terraria 1.4.5 Lead-up Volume 23

Oh dear...


+ Much like the previous, the presentation is much higher than the first game.

+ I found the stage transition to be fun, even if I wish they went with an aesthetic other than sci-fi.

+ 4 modes, again.

+ More new Gem types.


~ Nothing found.


- The gameplay was found to be immediately-unenjoyable. Rather than reliably sliding things into place, you're rotating clusters clock-wise.

- This means I had many premature matches...

- ...felt that time was being waster/gameplay convoluted by needing to click 4 times, rather than clicking + dragging once.

- ...and soon learned doing anything at the very bottom of the screen was near-impossible to match.

- While this may just be me, I found making 4 of the same gem near-impossible.

- Bomb Gems, what need to be removed in 20 moves, also very much impeded enjoyment.

- Stage transitions were too drawn-out for my tastes.

No, 8 minutes was not enough to see literally everything, but when the moment-to-moment gameplay was that much of a slog, that immediately, I felt no reason to continue.
