I have a love-hate relationship with Transformice. There is nothing quite like reminiscing about the domestic abuse I received as a child for playing it. I’ve cried ugly tears over this game. Ten years later, and I’m back to leave a steam review! What is there to praise about it?

Virtually nothing. On the surface, it's adorable, but the community sucked. Parents, please watch your kids if they're playing this. There are most certainly some weird people here, and any game that encourages off-site links to private group chats is a gateway to getting groomed. Somehow, my stupidity as a child actually rubber-banded back into a shield that kept me from it. Looking back, though, I can really see it for the cesspool it was.

Despite it all, Transformice had a grip on my ten-year-old heart that many games still fail to capture. If you’re looking for a flash game that autistic children wept for in the 2010s, this is it.

Very fun, full of racist and sexist trolls though.
