To start off with, we want to say clearly that we are very sorry for how things kicked off over launch, and that we take full responsibility for the issues that a lot of you have run into.

This really wasn't the start that we had hoped for, and we know that there has been a lot of critique pointed towards, especially, the multiplayer experience and the progression loss. We understand the frustration, and we are 100% committed to resolving these issues asap - which is exactly what this update is all about! :)

Please know that we are doing everything we can, as best as we can, and that we hope you will have patience with us as we learn and grow.

We also want to say thank you to everyone who has shared feedback and bug reports, this update is directly informed by what you’ve been experiencing in game - and our direction moving forward is absolutely shaped by your voices, so this is incredibly important for us - and we are grateful for your feedback.

We’ve fixed multiple crashes to help ensure a smoother and overall more stable runs.

• Fixed a crash that could occur when quitting the game while homing missiles were in the air

• Fixed a crash that could happen when closing a level

• Fixed several crashes caused by perk effects failing to find valid enemy or rebel targets

• Fixed a crash when opening the encyclopedia after changing rebels

• Fixed a crash related to cooking plate traps in certain edge cases

• Fixed a crash that could occur when quitting during a cutscene

Multiple abilities and interactions have been fixed to behave as intended.

• Fixed an issue with IronHorns Rocket Stampede ability not handling correctly

• Fixed an issue with Draskyls Tongue Leap ability

• Fixed an issue with the JumpSmash enemy ability not triggering correctly

• Fixed an issue where holding the level up key during a rebel level up could cause unexpected behavior

Improvements to making multiplayer and the progression more reliable.

• Fixed an issue where players would lose progression when quitting to desktop

• Fixed an issue where Smuggler extractions could fail, including inventory save problems after Smuggler item drops in the lobby. This was the cause of item duplication.

• Fixed an issue where automatic Smuggler extraction did not trigger correctly when exiting a level

• Fixed an issue where the merchant’s inventory could fail to restock or refresh correctly in multiplayer

• Fixed issues with test dummy enemies not behaving correctly in the lobby

• Filters in the server list now work

Additional UI and feedback improvements.

• Fixed an issue when reopening the portal selection UI

• Fixed localization issues involving special characters

• Fixed door select page not reopening after closing inventory or perks page.

• Holding the ability upgrade button (Y) now visualizes the delay in the "level up" prompt too, above the player's healthbar.

• Fixed banding issue on champion stats panel.

• Made Atlas unlock popup better.

• Added option to disable screen shake. (Under General/Accessibility)

This hotfix is a part of our continuing efforts to improve the experience and address early issues during Early Access. We’ll continue monitoring feedback closely and rolling out updates as quickly as humanely possible.

Raiders of Blackveil officially enters Early Access today 🥳

This launch marks a huge milestone for us, and we’re incredibly excited to finally share everything we’ve been building with you.

Early Access marks the next major step in shaping Raiders of Blackveil into its full potential. This update brings a brand new biome, new enemies and bosses, expanded systems, major gameplay improvements, and loads of quality of life upgrades across the entire game.

Below is a breakdown of what's new in Early Access 📝

Step outside the Meat Factory and into The Harvest Operation, a brand new biome with fresh visuals, angry enemies, and new gameplay mechanics

• New levels with distinct layouts and visual storytelling

• Shield generators and power cores that influence enemy spawns

• New traps and environmental hazards

• A new biome loop that allows switching between biomes during runs

• New intro and outro sequences

Early Access introduces a major increase to enemy variety and challenge

• 11 new enemies with unique behaviors and attack patterns

• 2 new mini-bosses, one in each biome

  • Slash n’ Bash (Meat Factory)

  • Apex Sapling (Harvest Operation)

• Harvest Operation final boss:

  • Otis the Overseer, featuring entirely new boss mechanics

• Custom boss arenas and enhanced encounter visuals

• Enemies can now patrol areas using a new Sentry Mode

Combat depth has been expanded with new systems, perks, and item changes

• New status effects: Fury, Taunt, Sap, and Barrier

• Loads of new perks added across all classes

• New Duo perks and expanded build variety

• Reworked equipment system with improved perk synergy

• New legendary and mythic gear

• Duplicate perks no longer appear

• Stat perks unlock once all normal perks are acquired

We’ve added new ways to progress, experiment with builds, and push difficulty further

• Reroll Tokens for perks and classes

• Merchant shop reroll option

• Quantity resource merging in inventory

• New level progression flow with expanded modifiers

• Difficulty unlocks tied to boss progression

• First batch of Steam Achievements

• First version of metrics/telemetry systems

Higher difficulties now introduce dangerous new modifiers to keep runs challenging and unpredictable

• New enemy modifiers such as Regenerators, Mortars, Fortified, and more

• New Elite and Super Elite modifiers including Armored, Cannon Fodder, Trap Master, and No Help

• Greater room variation and high risk gameplay at upper difficulties

Early Access also brings significant polish updates

• Fully expanded key rebinding system

• Improved gamepad support and vibration options

• Ability bar interaction overhaul

• HUD, room selection, and class selection UI redesigns

• Numerous UI bug fixes and workflow improvements

Raiders of Blackveil now supports full localization across all languages, professionally translated

Newly added languages:

• Polish

• Russian

• Spanish (LATAM)

• Korean

• Portuguese (BR)

A large portion of this update focuses on stability, performance, and smooth gameplay

• Improved navmeshes and collision

• Better character movement and avoidance

• Advanced asset pre allocation
