For those who want the mechanical TLDR of this game: First Person Hotline Miami in a Manhunt world. So yes it is fun and for the time I played so far lacking anything that stuck out as a bug.
It's good for the price and as it is in Early access i expect it to get better. Personally hoping for Achievements to be added in the future.
Level design is top notch by my estimation but feel as if there are a number of systems, those more in line with being an immersive sim, are missing (once again, early access). However I did have some great moments of cleverness with the explosives that felt very much at home in that genera.
Please add a dot in the center screen so it is easier to pick things up, or widen the selection cone/ray.

My most damming critique is that the game feels to easy and to hard at the same time. This is mainly the fault of enemy design and AI as they fail to have natural emergent behaviors that make sense. I can have a massive gunfight in the street but the guys in the house will not engage until they see me. Snipers don't look for threats, nor do they begin looking even after I have had a slaughter down the hall. None of this is "bad" but it does feel once again like the emergent gameplay that the levels are seem built for (with multiple interconnected routs at various levels of elevation) never actually emerges.

Solid fundamental FPS design, no bugs, needs more cowbell.

Pigface is a delightfully fun little game. Unfortunately, at this current point in Early Access, there's little meat on these bones. Only about 2 hours, if you stretch it out and unlock everything. Still, the foundation is phenomenal, and I think its worth a purchase based on that alone. The asking price of $12.99 CAD (or your regional equivalent) isn't the worst for a game of this quality, although you may wish to refrain for now if you prefer games with a high amount of content. At least know, if you do buy it, you got a great game that can run on basically anything.

Presentation is gritty and rough, and I cannot get enough of it. The game wears its Manhunt inspiration on its sleeve, as if Pigface was a secret Manhunt game that never released back during the heyday of the PS2. Everything is lovingly hand-made, with enough detail and shape to have everything look unique but not enough to be off-putting or straying away from that gritty old-gen look. It all meshes together quite well. The audio is also a highpoint, in both music and SFX alike. While most of the game relies on ambient sound effects, entering combat cues up some banging music that sounds ripped straight outta Hotline Miami or something similar to that. It's both deranged and energetic. And the sounds. Oh the SOUNDS. The satisfaction you feel when you slam a shovel against the head of an enemy, with the strangely nice head pop sound effect. The firing sound of the many different guns echoing out throughout the map. It's divine. Even the menus encapsulate that sort of snuff film feeling, with the VHS filters and very basic, rudimentary buttons. The computer being your shop and mission select feels really grounded, same with the phone being your way to track objectives. I don't even know how to describe it, but things like the font and the way text is displayed (commonly in all lowercase) just amplify this feeling. It all comes together into one nicely made package that feels like you found some creepy ass murder video in a back alley. If that's not your thing, you may want to pass on this game.

Gameplay is also another win for this game. The game is mission-based, going from map to map to do a couple miscellaneous objectives (plus a bonus one if you feel like an overachiever). Your kit can be freely customized, with most options having different items of various utilities and niches. You have your standard guns and melee weapons that you can bring, with your melee weapons either able to be thrown or held up to block damage. Guns can also be spec'd out with attachments to make them quiet or easier to aim. You also have a choice of body armor, your choice of drug (so far just morphine or cigarettes), your special item (all explosive) and your mask. The masks, which need to be found in mission, provide stat buffs or extra abilities to Exit, the main character. Stuff like extra space for morphine or lowering health of all enemies in exchange for them having heightened awareness. And once you pick all of these, you're freed from your truck to go kill people. Stealth or loud, melee only or throwing explosives everywhere, you can take basically any approach to finish what you need to do. Perhaps you can grab some random things lying around whatever map you're on to take home for extra cash. And once you're done all your objectives, you hop back into the truck and head home. You buy more items on the computer, then set out on your next mission. Rinse and repeat. It is simple, but oh so very satisfying.

Story doesn't have much to work with. The set-up is there, with the main character being a woman named Exit. She's terrible and loves to kill people, and also now has a bomb in her head. The main reason she does this mission is some guy over the phone telling her to do it. The acts themselves seem noble enough, like getting rid of drugs and gangsters and stuff, but you can't gleam much from these characters due to low playtime. I'm sure this will be expanded in the future.

All in all, this ♥♥♥♥ is just good fun. Been waiting for this one since its next fest demo. Cannot recommend enough

great game not a lot of content right now but very good foundation for future updates.
hoping to see more, will re visit this one as it gets updated.

only complaint is enemy ai is not very good and lack of content (only 4 levels but its early access)
also proper ultra wide support would be dope, in its current state its not usable
