Whats the roadmap? How much can be played in Early Access?

Using a muppet like avatar might be signalling to the customers that this is a casual game, but it's really serious and sweaty with it's game mechanics, imo there should be an avatar that appeals to a serious fan base, else I am worried that it might attract children who don't even know what reactor thermodynamics is and gets stumped. I think it might be better with faceless astronaut in spacesuits....

I mean, they do generate thermal signature, but they generate TOO much of it - a single laser turret as PD will lit your entire puppet frigate on fire in a matter of 4-5 shots, making you haphazardly try to cool down.

I get what the Dev was trying to do with the knobs but I have no idea how to use it other than "Keep clicking until it's the setting I want".
