Please for the love of our eye do something about the Death/Restart screen. Nothing extream just invert the colours so its white text on black. Going from a dark setting to a blind white flash is more painful part of the game then dying just as you are about to have enough cash to leave the area you are in....

Maybe they could take you into custody if you don't resist arrest once in a while? Seems kinda extreme to execute every criminal in the city. :S What? They have no prisons in this time and place? If you have enough money you can pay your bail and get out. Not enough money? Either game over or you could always break yourself out or with some help through your one phone call. :) Just some ideas.
