It was fine I guess. I think the beginning of the game ended up being more fun than late game. An hour in and you've basically seen everything there is to see in this one. These vampire survivor clones, idk. I feel like they just don't do enough for me.

It has a great concept, limited movement pick a bunch of power ups till you get to wave 30 and die. I really didn't find this one difficult at all, but again, are these survivor games meant to be "difficult"?

The game also throws at you a bunch of other unlockable characters but give you no real incentive to use them outside of getting their specific achievements. Beyond that, you will end up using the default character more often than the others, just to have an easier time getting the cheevos.

Music was nice at least. It's very short. Lacking content. Really needed some extra modes here.

Oh it's $5.00 what's the big deal? I mean so is Vampire Survivor and look how much content that packs into that 5 bucks.

Best I can describe this game is, it happened and then it went away.

I wish I could give this a neutral recommendation. It’s not bad, but it does lack creativity and innovation when it comes to gameplay and mechanics.

On the positive side, the art style is beautiful, very colorful and crisp without being hard on the eyes. The rats, their weapons, and the upgrade designs are all visually cute. Some of the upgrade synergies are somewhat creative, and there’s a small but decent handful of combinations you can discover. The skill tree is also a nice touch for slightly diversifying gameplay, giving each rat multiple ways to be played.

However, that’s about it. My biggest issue is the lack of replay value. Once you’ve unlocked all the achievements (which doesn’t take long, and most of them unlock naturally) there’s little incentive to keep playing. The challenge is minimal, and the gameplay becomes very repetitive. Overall, the game just feels short. There should have been more weapon and upgrade options, along with more meaningful synergies or evolutions that aren’t simply reskins of existing combinations. Adding something like mini-boss waves could help introduce challenge and break up the repetitiveness, as would different enemy types with more varied movement or mechanics.

Still, despite its flaws, the game did temporarily scratch my bullet heaven, survivors, and roguelike itch. I just wish there was more content to explore. If in the future there's an update, I might reconsider and change my review.

Although the gameplay not really engaging, the theory/build crafting makes up for it. I am slightly disappointed there is no endless mode, however it is still a decent game to pick up during steam sales.
