As soon as the game starts I have a glowing cross and then the game crashes. Major graphics glitches. How can I fix it?

Playing on win 11 and it lags really bad. any known fixes?

I played all the tutorials, yet on the first mission for the Malus, I had to restart several times to even get five minutes in! How am I supposed to maximize my damage to enemy fighters? Do I just suck?

In the editor, after all these years, I discovered that there is a Battle Carrier named Lord General. This carrier, among other special ships, cannot be built from any starports, but have to be scripted in. I found some info on this carrier and it said that it has an extra 10000 hit points, the 4 laser turrets and that this carrier launches torpedoes. It also said that it crashes the game when it attacks which is a bug that most likely was being addressed just before the dev studio was shutdown. But so fa...
