So disappointed

Once again, another franchise has been ruined by the developers. The combat system is laughable, with automatic parrying, and the duo combat is clunky and feels like an afterthought. This is what modern gaming has come to in 2024. I definitely won’t be buying a new GPU anytime soon. Thanks, developers....

But after you released the new version (Ys X: Proud Nordics), existing players have to wait until March 6, 2026 to get a discount on the Ys X Special Upgrade Pack. And even if we buy the Special Upgrade Pack, we still lose the original pre-order (Launch) bonuses. Do you think I care about that bit of money? No. What I care about is the heart. Is it better than the really boring Ys Monstrum Nox?

Honestly, I really used to LOVE the Ys franchise. But the previous one "Ys Monstrum Nox" was SO UNBELIEVABLY boring, I couldn't believe it. I put maybe 11 hours into it and then before dying of sheer boredom running around in this MEGA BORING city I quit. It was kinda heartbreaking, loving the franchise and the MC. But I could not bring myself to continue. Since then I am sort of... hesitant. I need characters which are interest, and story that is captivating, anything Ys Monstrum Nox was NOT. Sigh. So, ...
