i cant insert the tape into the player,no matter using keyboard or controller

I really like the concept of the game, but running into various issues that need fixed. Atm, I can't get out of the security room after having to go inside and interact with the phone. The door remains closed and doesn't let me open it. So I cannot progress beyond that point....

A little help would be appreciated for this part of the game that I'm stuck on: after picking up the body and returning it to it's spot, I return to the guard shack and answer the phone, check the CCTV, but it will not let me pick up the note or click on the bed to go to sleep. It sucks because you can't save the game up to this point. Is this a bug? Am I doing something wrong???...

1. After the phone call and the guy att the gate I can not read the letter. It's on the table, but nothing more happens. Can somebody help? 2. Is it not possible to save the game?
