Originally I was not gonna recommend this game on the basis of what many people share in these reviews, this game is abusive and obtuse in many points and sometimes very, very frustrating. BUT after beating the game (excluding Hell Temple, maybe I'll get to that later) I changed my mind a little.

I feel like many games have the exploration tag, but that usually means a mostly empty open world to ¨explore¨, meaning find random ♥♥♥♥ to do and move on to other random ♥♥♥♥ and so on.

I haven't felt this sense of pure exploration, and high stakes reward from a game before, EVERY item you get feels like an achievement, like you're this Indiana Jones looking guy slowly unveiling the secrets of the ruins and every item gets your a little closer to your goal, it's incredible the joy I felt when I got the flail whip.

If you wanna play this game, go for it. It's a very punishing but when it rewards you it feels great. Don't feel ashamed of looking things up, because unless you pay very close attention to everything, you're gonna miss stuff. That's one thing I wish I knew before playing this, you're gonna need to take notes, I highly recommend it.

Finishing this game just makes me excited to play the sequel knowing what I'm gonna get myself into from the start.
