Honestly just an awful RE experience from start to finish:

• Made between RE5 and RE6 for the 3DS: you could tell they were leaning into less classic RE and more action ever than before.
  
• This game continues the trend even harder than RE6 of Capcom having no idea how to create new RE characters that everyone doesn't either immediately hate or forget.
  
• Most of the game is either you fighting 1-2 silly blue sea monsters shambling like zombies or 40 hunters in a tiny hallway.
  
• You get an absolutely bizarre dodge system that requires you to press W (forward) or SPACE BAR (turn AROUND) as they are attacking to dodge. No this will never be consistent and you will get hit constantly instead.
  
• Weird episodic intros between each 10min section acting like you weren't JUST THERE. This game wasn't even episodic it fully came out on the 3DS back in the day.
  
• For some ungodly reason you get ranked after every 10-15min section for accuracy, deaths, and time. Why? Am I trying to get my best lap time on the racetrack? Why is this here?
  
• You also get some enemies that just have instakill moves, jumping from one end of the hallway to your face and activating it on -1 frames, while it waits to kill you in its hold your AI partner stares into the abyss until the monsters activates the instakill and wrings you like a wet towel. Absolutely abysmal from every angle. Oh also it ruins your rank for that section out of nowhere.
  
• Save system? Nah you get autosaves every whenever and you can save in between each section.
  
• I would have killed for SOME ACTUAL WAY to tell what my health was instead of varying levels of strawberry jam on the edge of my screens. It's so dicey to tell how many hits I can take, especially when I'm fighting a gaggle of hunters, and I don't want to waste my few precious healing items.
  
• Speaking of: this feels as much as a departure from RE as possible. No proper inventory, all healing items are green herbs capped at 5 max capacity, there are 3 total funny keys in the entire map, the map sucks to use, and they decided to make the worst version of an endgame tyrant as possible by making it teleport constantly after giving you a massive amount of rifle, which you will never be able to use in the fight.
  
• The section before the supposed final sequence pits you against a walkway throwing falling debris at you, just in an effort to mill as much healing from you as possible before what should have been the final fight of the game.
  
• Stop me if you've heard this one: 5min until the location you're at self-destructs, fight the big last enemy, escape on a helicopter. What's that? Final chapter? Oh no after you do that you get an entire 1.5 chapters of mandatory playable flashbacks and even yet another, somehow worse, final boss. It never ended when it should have. For god's sakes I did the entire final sequence and yet somehow I get an objective afterwards that reads, "get a tourniquet for this sad guy :(".
  
• This might be the most egregiously stupid plot point, even aside from combing the snowy hills to fight wolves: at one point Chris goes to rescue Jill, as we leave her drowning in the bilge, only to find no presence of her which leads to the revelation that she's on A DIFFERENT SHIP with the exact same looks and layout. no this never means anything and feels more like a gag than it does a plot revelation.
  
• Ultimately this game has way too much content for how miserable of an experience it is. This really should have been compacted.

At no point did I ever go, "wow what a fun mini-RE adventure featuring Jill and Chris". Instead I was constantly asking myself, "when is this over?". This genuinely might be worse than Code Veronica and that takes effort.

Not as good as others, but still worth playing.

A pretty fun side RE game that's worth playing, at least it’s better than RE6
