I may have the nostalgia goggles on, but for me (original) Fable TLC is the best game a kid could ask for. And I enoyed it a lot as a kid. The ambience, voice acting, the soundtrack, it all added to the "magic" of being in this world, Albion. Graphics are still nice to look at today. Nothing fancy, but they remain functional and don't set you off. Just like any good game in its genre, Fable allows you to create your own "custom" character. Maybe you'll be an archer with support spells, or a wizard with attack spells, or a tank with support spells and a big ass weapon? Get tattoos, crazy hairstyle and unique armor/clothing combinations. Buy a house and get married, find books and donate them to a school. Albeit, I can't be bothered with that stuff anymore, because I played this game ALOT since 2004, but for a new player without heightened expectations this all might just be up their alley.
I only hope that the new Fable geme will be a wonderfull experience to a new generation of kids, just as the first Fable was for us.

Might've been good when it came out. But it hasn't aged well at all. As someone with no nostalgia this game was just bad in every way.
