This week, we pushed the paver forward with several improvements and long‑requested features, making it better by making it add material to the road, following the screed, and ensuring more consistent asphalt usage.

We also continued the refinement work we discussed earlier, bringing recent dozer and grader improvements over to wheel loaders and excavators. This includes fixing dirt‑interaction issues, improving bucket behavior, and developing new dirt‑handling functions while exploring additional capabilities for these machines.

Paver now really puts "down" asphalt (or whatever material is fed to it)

Asphalt surface now gets lifted to the screeds with a max thickness of about 10cm

Meanwhile, the rest of the team has been hard at work on our upcoming secret project (Yeah this is a big project, but it is a free update for the game).

This week, part of the team shifted focus toward bringing the same level of refinement we recently introduced for dozers and graders over to wheel loaders and excavators. Our goal is to elevate digging and material‑handling behavior across these machines so they feel cleaner, smoother, and more consistent.

We’ve already resolved a number of issues related to dirt cutting and interaction. These fixes address cases where buckets could become stuck during digging.

We are also developing a new suite of dirt functions tailored for loader buckets and excavator implements to improve visual feedback and overall immersion. We’re also experimenting with expanded functionality, similar to the dirt pushing dozers does, to see what additional capabilities make sense for these machines.
