Yes, the battle generator absolutely sucks.
Yes, mostly everything possible in this game is unfair towards the player and not really fun.
Yes, the tactical AI is at a level of a lobotomized cucumber.
Yes, the enemy AI still seems to hit you 100 times more often than you hit them.
Yes, the war score mechanics are so horrendous garbage that Paradox games seem enjoyable.

And yes, I'm recommending this because it's the Dwarf Fortress of naval combat games with utterly ridiculous simulation of various things nobody else cares about.
It's also a solo dev project if I'm not mistaken, so buy the game, design a ship, watch the AI wreck it with a single lucky shot in a 5v1 battle you never wanted to have, rage quit and then realize it's a pretty good game.

Great game overall, but this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ battle system pisses me off. No matter what you are outnumbered in every battle, even if you have 10:1 the amount of ships in a area than the enemy. The enemy also somehow is tanking bloody 18 inches as a destroyer and not even feeling it. The enemys carriers can send out a torp bomber from halfway across the alantic. It just horrible and you cant even pause the game when you want to. I see a destroyer, go to pause it and then my battle ship is already dead because it doesnt want to pause. and the horrible 1 min play 5 min play is also garbage way of playing the battles, just make it so it plays and pauses when you press space rather than constantly auto pausing even though in the settings i tried to make it so it wouldnt. Just 1 horrible thing ruining the game
