Bleed

Great game. I'd love to see these characters in a netflix series 😂 The design bits have all felt pretty complementary so far. Bleed is the only thing that I personally find really jarring, and I was surprised to find that it hasn't come up in discussions (at least not in their titles!) For context, I'm at the castle heist. Achievements bugged?

I just finished the game, and noticed that there are several unmissable achievements (recruiting characters, finishing missions and the game, etc) that have not unlocked for me. Is this a known issue? I was playing on Steam Deck and occasionally I was offline, so I thought it may have been because of that. But then I was playing online for a good chunk of today when finishing the game, and none of the ones that should have popped have done so. Anything I can do or am I just out of luck?...

Any plans of porting this gem to Android?

I absolutely love deck builders but prefer playing them on the go so just wanted to ask if you guys have any plans to port this over to Android.

This game went from super fun to a screeching halt ragefest in a single fight. I had died once in the entire game up to the point where you fight a mercenary goon and the girl with two robots in 05: MEXAHNKA COMPLEX. This fight is absolutely ridiculous. I don't know if I didn't take certain routes to unlock good cards for the fight or what, but I have had ZERO issue with the game up until this point. I've tried about eight different combinations of decks, nothing works. This is the problem with making a c...

Frame drops in battles

In-battles when you choose a card to play or rather just browsing through cards with you cursor, this action causes huge frame drops. I think it happens if you put your cursor on either your character or enemies. If you flick through cards, in my case it drops from 144 fps to around 25 fps. It immediately gets up to 144 fps but this immediate drop just hurts my eyes....

Deckbuilder games are totally not my thing, but seeing my home city in cyberpunk coat was something I couldnt resist. And it was worth it, the story is engaging, worldbuilding unique and full of slavic/nordic mythology references nicely contrasting with hyper modern cyberpunk setting, artstyle is simply beautiful to look at, and voice acting surprisingly good. And it was nice to see all those locations I know from the real life Bratislava turned into cyberpunk data fortresses, high security corporate HQs and so on. I mean I have been on some of those places myself.

It wasnt punishingly hard, especially since I never played any deckbuilder game before. So good even if such games are not your cup of tea. The story seemed to have cut off sooner than I expected - although that may just mean that we will get sequel at some point. But its still worth to give a run.

HeistGeist turns 1 today!

Hey everyone!

One year ago, our tiny studio released our second game, HeistGeist. It was quite an ambitious project, far bigger than we originally planned, rooted in our deep love for the heist genre, cyberpunk, and card games. We also took a stab at far more writing and storytelling than we had ever done before. We're happy to say that we stuck the landing, with the game currently sitting at a 97% review score.

Since launch, the game has received several important updates, including new animations, visual assets, cutscenes, additional polish, and small bug fixes and performance improvements. It also runs great on the Steam Deck and is fully playable with a controller.

To celebrate this anniversary, we have two announcements.

"The Art of HeistGeist" Artbook

HeistGeist is a very visual game, and we thought it would be fun to compile all the art and concept designs created during production into a little book. It includes a few words about the artistic intent, the inspirations behind the art, and a peek behind the scenes.

The artbook will be available as a digital download DLC for the base game.

Upcoming festivals and sales

A quick PSA: Starting next week, on November 17, HeistGeist will be on discount for two weeks, until December 1, as part of Czech & Slovak Games Week and Turn-Based Carnival 2025.
