Greetings, Scouts,

We wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support since we released our updated demo.

The new and updated demo had been a long time coming, with some much needed bug fixes and of course, letting you explore a whole new area.

We are so proud of how the game has progressed, and we are excited to showcase some new, beautiful screenshots!

We can't wait to share the full Luna Abyss experience with you all. In the meantime, here's a sneak preview of some new environments - Fawkes' cell, a chapel overrun with dangerous enemies, and the mysterious Hanging Towers - as well as a new traversal ability, which will make exploring the Abyss all the more exciting.

Your feedback and bug reports have been crucial throughout the making of the game. The demo is still available now, so if you haven’t tried it for yourself - now’s the chance!

This game is sick

Played both demo levels and was very impressed. I love the Metroid Prime/Doom vibes, and the second boss fight was super cool. The decision to have no ammo and only heat was fantastic. Lock-on is cool too, ♥♥♥♥ the haters. Sound design added a lot to the experience as well. My only criticisms are small things. The slowdown when you kill an enemy is pretty jarring and I'd like to be able to turn that off. Holding E to pick stuff up seems a little slow, a simple press is fine. Remove monster intros

This might be a personal thing, but I find these very tired and cliche. Also very gamey and a little damaging to atmosphere. I think it's best practice to avoid taking control out of the player's hands as much as possible. If you want to have a cool intro do it diegetically, using visual design to draw the player's eye to where the enemy will dramatically spawn in for the first time. If some portion happen to be looking the wrong way, no big deal....

Overall combat more enjoyable with new demo. I like inclusion of movement abilities, don't know if you really need sprint it this form. It kinda nice to move slowly without it in bullet hell moment, but it sprint only forward. I think this type of games benefits on all-round running in any direction. Although features of guns like blue and purple shield concerns me. I fear it might lead to encounters with no decision making whatsoever in future. It will feel forced and play predictable, which is sad, cus ...
