I'm a bit stuck on Puzzle 29. I've made it up to the point of the final hint, but said final hint seems to make no sense. It mentions placing 7 in r8c5, then 9 in r2c5. The hint says this somehow forces 8 into r8c8. I have no idea how this would happen, regardless of the fact that 8 cannot go here since it's a length-3 arrow. Could someone help me from this point? I think it's time we talk about having access to more color options than the default 3. Most of us that continue to follow the daily puzzles from Simon and Mark find the necessity of using colors effectively to track the options for squares, and while the use of colors has been fine with other apps, it's beginning to show its inadequacy for more difficult variations....

I solved the puzzle via goodliffing the 1/9-layout and went back to the hints to see, what the simon-way would have been... now the first clue said something about the placements of 1/9 in C5... I am having a hard time following the part of the hint, where it says R7C5 can't be 1/9, because the row-clue is too big. The row-clue is 21, so if C1 is 1/9, C2/3/4 could be 6,7,8 with C5 being 1/9, or am I missing something? I may be missunderstanding something, since english isn't my first...
