精彩的老游戏，战术内容现在看来也算可圈可点

You are supposed to be fit soldier in a new unit type of USArmy, but it feels like you are rather a drunkard in a penal unit.

Atmosphere, immersion, any feeling, realism, or authenticity? Absent.

The only good things in the game are cinematics about the story, that's it.

Shooting mechanics, I doubt you can find anything worse than what is here, but at the same I get it, it is a game about leading others, so they made shooting as bad as they could, because if you could shoot everyone from far away, then why even bother leading, and using your team for anything? Gun sways so much you must be always drunk, hangover, or I don't know.

Shooting, or even using any guns, gives exactly 0 fun, blood on hit, any enemy behavior while hit, absent, sometime they'll shout "I'm hit" in German, that's it.

The game is not only linear, meaning you complete it once, and never play it again, but just poorly designed, when it comes to map, and the whole team leading philosophy makes completely no sense, seems like one team of people made the team system, and a bunch of randoms made the maps, then another team decided to create a game combining bothe of those.

You don't have any freedom when it comes to gameplay, you don't really have any choice, it is more of a logical puzzle game, with predefined routes you must take, with predefined unit position placement, predefined flanking predefined enemy positions, predefined chokepoints, and everything else is predefined.

The amount of times I wanted to flank something, and I encountered a wall, too many times. One mission I want to go right because to me it seems the best possible solution, nope can't do, as the DEVs decided that during this mission, in this exact spot, you will be flanking left. Next mission? I'm going left, nope, you must go right this type to flank the enemies. The map design, and the game itself gives you illusion of choice, it takes a long time to complete them, because every couple meter a bunch of Germans appears out of nowhere, so those tiny maps, that would take you less than a minute to get from start to finish take like 10, or more.

The controls are as to be expect, completely whack, you also have toggle irons under middle mouse, if you press reload, it goes back to reload, and back to irons, like what the hell?

A lot of objects seem to be bulletproof, imagine you hide behind a wooden fence, which in reality would be shreded to pieces while in this game, it is as invincible, as I don't know... though it seem there is a possibility to eliminate enemies behind it.

Map design for me is so confusing, that I got to fight MG42 nests head on, and only later on finding out, hey... I could flank it, but that was already mentioned. You only get to flank in certain moments of the game, when the DEVs want you to flank, if you think you're better than that and you will want to find a different route, you'll be stopped by a bush, fence, wall, or anything.

Just awful in every technical aspect.

The team leading as the main selling aspect is interesting, but you start a mission, face 2 Germans, move left 2 German, move right 2 Germans and MG nest, move left 4 Germans, more right 1 German, move left... that's how the game is designed. You literaly fight for every meter of the tiny map, that is more active and more valuable than any WW1 land ever was.

A good, cinematic experience for a single playthrough.

Grab the trilogy on sale and play through each game at the highest starting difficulty. Since the fun is to be had from finding the correct approach to each situation, cranking up the stakes makes every checkpoint all the more rewarding.
