Stun nerf due to PVP affects PVE
PVE should not get a nerf due to PVP why does it affect PVE? i really hope this is a oversight meant only for PVP

EDIT: RB has confirmed this is intended for it to also affect PVE

Stun rig was one of the most overpowered rigs it needed a nerf use other rigs or get good

Agree. Making blind rig able to blind the imposter for a few second even tho they step out of the smoke. Jammer could revive a used blind rig on the floor, heal can drain imposter sanity 1 bar? Xray get to see which elevator monster closet just opened from far across the map. Barricade should always able to block and don't get the red text saying "can't use the rig now." because the enemy is too close.
Idk, but I just want to say other rig deserve better too.

Nerf stun damage against pvp is enough, and let other player mix and match their combo to win, brick should be the only weapon that strong enough to be the threat of imposter death.

Stun should be a baseline and other rigs should just be if not better than stun, nerfing stun and screwing over PVE players is a bad idea

This ubiquitous refrain of "bad logic" never fails to amaze me in these instances. For any game, on any subreddit, on any steam board you will find it that when one item is massively out of balance with the rest of the items in the game, it's entirely the rest of the game that is the problem and needs to be changed - not that one item.

I actually agree, stun rig should be removed entirely since it by design outclasses the others. Replace it with some other mechanic for defending yourself throughout the trial (some kind of ability that grants limited use saves / distraction for the prime asset)

I dont think making the cooldown longer will change anything

Fundamentally you complete the trial more quickly by bypassing the prime asset during key parts with the stun rig

the blind used to be OP due to this explicitely then they nerfed it and now noone uses it. same with stun, if nerfed everyone will just move to the next best thing down the list.

changes are needed sure, but removal? nah.

I will agree that stun should of never been added as it detracts from the purpose of the game but since it exists other rigs should be on par with stun nerfing stuff in the long term just creates more problems from experience

even with the nerf it still recharges pretty quick

Pretty much, i didn't even use it for offence in the first place i used it mainly for disabling traps, also this entire nerf doesn't even help the point of why it was nerfed as it is intended to make stun spam for imposters not as bad BUT that does not matter as RIG RECHARGERS exist, my solution? have a max of 1 rig recharger per MK 3 for main trial

Also id like to point out for any confusion, RB has stated that it is intended for this nerf to apply to PVE so they are just screwing over PVE players over a nerf THAT DOESN'T EVEN ADDRESS THE MAIN ISSUE!

They did?? They could've just made it less effective against imposters. If stun rig being too strong in general was the reason okay.. but because of pvp? I don't want pvp to become main thing in this game..

I only ever used the stun rig to max it out for completion sake and I agree it should not have been nerfed. The argument of "it makes things too easy" is easily countered with "don't use it then" If the stun rig was making it so easy for you, don't use it. Use something else. It didn't need to be nerfed because they have slapped on a PvP mode barely anyone wanted. They should be bringing the other rigs up to par with Stun rig if it really was so egregious that it completely outshines the other rigs, not gutting it for a mode from all accounts a majority of people are opting out of to begin with.

It's a 20s cooldown increase, or 26 seconds longer upgraded. You're tweaking if you think that's "screwing over PvE players" the cooldown really isn't that bad, especially since it has priority for rig rechargers over every other rig. It's still the best overall rig in the game.

I do agree PvP shouldn't be the reason behind PvE changes though, and the cooldown increase doesn't change anything about recharge spamming which is one of the big reasons people run the stun rig.

Only in singleplayer or friends-only games. If there's matchmaking then it's a non-argument since you don't get to dictate what other players do. Whether it's you or someone else stunlocking an enemy for the entire finale makes little difference.
