What kind of person takes an open-source project they have no relation to... uploads it against the project developer's wishes... makes it so that ultimately no one else can manage/own a Steam store page... then abandons it so that a great many people end up playing buggy, outdated versions of the project without any of the great new features being developed by the actual team. Who does that?...

This Steam version (release 4.4.2) is very old. Do not use it. Go over to https://wz2100.net/news/ and grab the latest version from devs that actually release constant bugfixes and improvements. While you're at it join their forum and Discord if you want a community that cares about the game! See you there, gl.
