- Rebuilt LibVLC (Video API).

- LibVLC now supports frame-by-frame playback.

- LibVLC now supports subtitles (external SRT format).

- LibVLC now supports 3D audio.

- Fixed an issue where LibVLC could not open files containing the "#" character in the filename.

- Added supported video extensions. (m4v, ts, m2ts, mts, vob, 3gp, ogv, divx)

- Added supported audio extensions. (m4a, ogg, aiff, opus)

- Changed the thumbnail system to cache image and video thumbnails as image files. *

- Thumbnail resolution is now unified to a maximum of 256 pixels.

- Added a setting to choose whether to delete or keep thumbnail images when the application closes.

- Added a setting to adjust the transparency of the gaze pointer.

- Fixed a bug where MediaFoundation and DirectShow could not open certain valid audio files.

- Fixed a bug where no error was displayed when opening unsupported audio files with MediaFoundation or DirectShow.

- Fixed a bug where holding the mouse wheel button did not reset the sphere screen position.

- Fixed an issue where the application could not start correctly if the installation directory contained non-ASCII characters.

* Thumbnail file is saved in the Windows user data directory (C:\\Users\\Username\\AppData\\LocalLow\\BoninblueDesignLaboratory\\VRMediaViewer\\Thumbnails)

problems with index?

software does start, but gui doesnt appear, just the animated background, reinstall doesnt solve anything, does seems to be linked with updates, sometimes these solved the problem but other times reintroduce it

Function addition / Fix / Bug fix:

- Added Depth Inference to AI Tools (Experimental).

- Added Upscaler to AI Tools (Experimental).

- Added mouse support for application controls.

- Refined some UI designs and text.

- Adjusted controller acceleration thresholds (including rotational acceleration) for the auto-hide function.

- Video playback now automatically pauses when the headset is removed or the dashboard is opened.

- Fixed a memory leak issue that occurred under certain conditions.

About AI Tools

We have added an experimental image processing feature powered by AI inference. (2D images only) Since AI inference requires significant memory and computational power, the system will prioritize using your GPU. However, if a compatible GPU is unavailable, it will fall back to CPU processing, which may result in significantly longer processing times. To use this feature, please toggle "Enable AI tools" to ON in the Settings menu. We plan to continue adding interesting AI models to this toolset as we discover them.

About Mouse Controls

Mouse support has been added for in-app operations. Since it is easy to lose track of the mouse cursor in VR, you can long-press the mouse wheel to reset the cursor to the center of your view (gaze direction). If you need to perform other tasks in Windows while the app is running, press the ESC key to release the mouse cursor. Clicking inside the app window again will lock the cursor back to the application.

Version 1.3.1

We have received a report regarding a security vulnerability found in the game engine used to develop this application, and we have made the necessary fixes to the application. In addition, as part of this update, and considering security measures, stability, flexibility of future updates, and compatibility with future VR devices, we have decided to officially release the OpenXR version, which had previously been available as a beta version.

Please make sure to activate the OpenXR runtime before use

Unlike previous versions, the OpenXR version will not launch unless the “Activate OpenXR Runtime” setting is enabled within the device management applications such as SteamVR (HTC VIVE, Valve Index, Pico, etc.), Meta Quest Link (Oculus Quest, Meta Quest), or OpenXR Tools for Windows Mixed Reality (WindowsMR). Examples of how to activate it in the above three applications are listed below, but for other devices, please refer to the respective manuals regarding OpenXR and follow their instructions.

- Fixed an issue so that a message is displayed in the window when the OpenXR runtime is not properly activated.

About Previous Versions

Although we have now officially released the OpenXR version, if the OpenXR version does not work properly on your system, an alternative version is still available as “1.2.8 - Previous version”, which includes the fix for the security vulnerability. (Please note: In version 1.2.8, due to changes in the game engine specifications, a splash screen will always be displayed at startup. ※ The OpenXR version does not display a splash screen.)

The steps to access Version 1.2.8 are as follows.

\[Steam client software] > \[Library] > \[VR MEDIA VIEWER (right click)] > \[Properties] > \[Beta] > \[Select the beta... (1.2.8 - Previous version)] > Will start downloading (If it doesn't update, try restarting your Steam client)

If you want to revert to the major version, change \[Select the beta... (1.2.8 - Previous version)] to \[Select the beta... (None)] and the download of the latest version will start (If it doesn't update, try restarting your Steam client)

The fixes included in this update are as follows.

Fixes in Version 1.2.8 :

- Fix for security vulnerability in game engine.

- Due to the game engine's specifications, a splash screen is now displayed at startup.

Stereoscopic image parallax adjustment option?

I love that I can finally view my MPO files from my fuji 3D camera... and resizing them is great. But I think the one other thing it could use... is the ability to adjust the parallax of the image. you know... push the 3d effect forward/backwards.

Menu won't load upon starting app

As above. Starting yesterday I can't get the file menu to load when the app starts. It was working fine 2 days ago and now, nothing. I have checked file integrity and everything seems fine. Is this a glitch anyone else is experiencing?
