Does anyone have any tips to avoid running into the same no more moves solution over and over again?

As stated, Demo fails to launch. Steam error message says there is a "missing executable". Verified files & got message that files were installed. Demo again failed to launch with same error message. UNINSTALLED Demo & then re-installed. Restarted Demo. Failed again with same error message. I'm surely not going to buy the full game if this is what I may expect. ...
