You have defended the Jewel of the North, fought cults and dragons, battled your way through treacherous dungeons. Now is your time to return, and with our exclusive Neverwinter Quick Start Event, we’re making it easier than ever for you to hit the ground running as if you’ve never left!


This limited-time event for Neverwinter allows all returning players to jump straight into the heart of the action. Experience everything the game has to offer and go on epic adventures with a fully equipped, high-level character.

Quick Start Event begins: April 21 at 9am PT
Quick Start Event ends: May 21 at 9am PT

During this limited-time event, returning adventurers* can login and claim a FREE pre-built level 20 character. This character will be available to claim for a limited time during the Quick Start event, but once claimed, it'll be a permanent character that you can keep forever after the event ends.

If the need for additional characters arrives, it's possible to purchase additional Quick Start Characters through the Zen Store. This is also possible after the event for the free Quick Start Character is over.

*Note: Please be aware that this promotion is only available for accounts with at least one existing character at level 16.


As part of this special event, you’ll be able to select from three pre-built level 20 characters: Fighter, Cleric or Wizard, each representing the Tank, Healer, and Damage Dealer roles.

Each character will be set up with the DPS paragon path as their primary loadout, with their secondary loadout set up for their tank, healer, or alternate DPS loadout. You will have a prebuilt set of gear, enhancements, artifacts, powers, boons, companions, mounts, mount collars and insignias slotted and an item level around 60,000, that will allow you to jump right into the action of the game. The character will also come with Bind to Character versions of supplies needed for adventuring and adjusting the species and appearance of the character to your preference.

As mentioned above, boons are included. They have already been assigned, but if you want, you can reset the boon tree with a free token. Boon quests for the following Campaigns are already completed and claimed: Dread Ring, Storm King's Thunder, Icewind Dale, The Cloaked Ascendancy, Jungles of Chult, and Sharandar.

This Neverwinter Quick Start Character will start in a specialized tutorial Campaign quest line in Menzoberranzan, called ‘Legends Reawakened’ and starting with the ‘Whispers in the Dark’ quest, which will get you up to speed in no time and contains some nice rewards! Progress in this Campaign can be done by collecting Adamant Shards by completing Menzoberranzan Story Missions, Weekly quests, repeatable quests, Heroic Encounters, and Lockdown Bosses.

After that, Faerûn is yours to explore. You’re equipped to participate in Skirmishes, explore Dungeons, challenge your skills in Trials, and enjoy Neverwinter's various campaigns and storylines – it's really up to you!

Please note that the three episodes from the Return to Sharandar campaign are already marked as completed; you can still play through Sharandar's story.

• Currently, ability scores from the character creation don't apply to Quick Start Event characters. We're aware of this. Meanwhile, we would like to ask you to use a Race Reroll Token, available for free in the Zen Store for Quick Start characters, which fixes this issue.
• It's possible that some rewards' tooltips within the Legends Reawakened campaign state an incorrect binding status; the actual bind status is Character Bound. We are aware of this issue.
