I have no issues with targeting. picking items up can be bothersome. I can highlight them with right analog stick but dunno how to pick them up. Have to manually find the item on the floor and pick it up.

You are not locked into either/or and can switch whenever you want.

I have used controller for most of my 600+ hrs, But for some minor things i switch to the mouse

Yeah I could but I have locked the control scheme in settings so it would not alternate between mouse and keyboard. So I just need better perception to see where the stuff on the screen is :D

The targeting issue will resolve itself eventually, I'm doing stupid newbie things like blapping my team with bottles of acids and things trying to consume a potion, those are my fault mostly. My primary issue is picking things up and just generally locating them in the world, they don't ever seem to be where the text box says they are and as I'm trying to pick them up team is chronically in the way.

As far as switching to the mouse when needed, I've tried that and it changes the whole ui, game pauses for a second and I've no idea where anything is in the menus and just don't want to deal with it, would prefer team would ♥♥♥♥ off from dialog prompts until the need arises, but alas.

So there are no good controller support mods anyone is buzzing about? Guess I'll have to look myself if not.
