Platform Saddles
If I put a saddle platform on say, a quetz or bronto, which I'd captured with a pokeball, could I build on that platform, return them to the ball, and when I release them, they still have the structure(s) I build on them?

The works by teleporting your tames to a safe location under the map. So it shouldn't affect your platform structures in anyway.

One correction: Your dino never moves from the place you captured it. It's simply (ha, that's a laugh) hidden in the world and collisions are disabled. That goes with Saddle Structures too, so build away, friend!

So, if I have it setup with lots of turrets, then stuff it back into the pokeball, did I just create an invisible death zone?

Saddle autoguns are allowed on the server I'm on

I'm not sure the turrets would be operational while hidden like that, but test it out and let me know.

The turrets are still operational, and cause a bug that prevents you from riding dinos while in the render zone of the hidden dino

Okay, thanks. I'll look into it.

Awesome. another thing I've noticed, is that the S+ internal pipe/wire stuff, causes graphical glitches, in that they become opaque vs their normal invisible. A quick log out/log in generally fixes it, and it's not an issue, just something I noticed so I don't know who's side it'd actually be on since it's a mod to mod conflict

Are the pipes/wires on the platform? If so, that's a visual conflict as you said. Nothing I can really do about it because the norm is that wire/pipe be visible at all times, so my mod forces visibility on them.

Ah, ok, then that is the reason they show up after popping out of the pokeball. Doesn't effect their functionality though, so just a visual thing

Yeah, the turret thing does sound rather problematic though.

Alright, it's not just turrets. I'm thinking it's the platform saddles now, cause it's doing the same thing to a non-turreted platform. My quetz has a quetz cage on it, no turrets or anything, and I'm still having the bug

I noticed a bug like that with the grappling hook where my friend would grapple to me, and then I'd be unable to ride any dinos. I always marked that off as an ARK issue though. Maybe it's related to this as well.

I just tried a whole bunch of tests in single player to no avail. :\ I had a Wooden Cage on a Paracer Platform Saddle, captured it, hopped on the Megalania that was sitting besides him and all worked fine. Ran around a bit, out of the area, came back, tried the same thing, no issues.

Might be a server side issue? Have you tried it on a private dedicated server?

Not yet, but I will. I've got a few environments.
