To do so, open "Sukritact's Simple UI Adjustments.modinfo" for edit. Then find and remove the following section (should be lines 125-131):
Open the Steam client and navigate to the Steam > Settings/Preferences > In-game tab. Uncheck the box next to Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game.
Steam FPs(fraps) may affect too if on.

This actually works perfectly on windows. Thanks for posting. I really missed the tooltip popping up
Thanks so much! This worked for me, and I am on Mac
I thought I'd play mt first attempt with the standard rules and am not getting the tile tooltip so came looking for an answer.
Many thanks for this info, Aiur. Removing those lines returned the tool tip for me, too (Windows, Civ6 Platinum Edition). :-)
This worked for me. Editing the modinfo did not.
Worked for me, Thanks!!!
Is there anything else in the mod that manage said tooltips ?
I wish the mode was more modular… Thanks for the thread anyway !
Edit :
I now have the full game and it works ! So I presume it’s just screwed for the base game.
