+1 on this, I nearly always set my recipes to around a 30-tile radius, just because it's incredibly silly to see a pawn spend a couple hours hiking to the corner of the map and back to pick up a piece of clothing from a raid or a stone chunk so they can use it in a recipe, when I have an entire pile of donkeys I keep around specifically to do all that long-distance hauling.

Am I getting crazy but this feature did exist before? I'm pretty sure there was some settings about it pre release. Weird it no longer exist
