Open your task manager, and absolutely remove everything about discord. Don't uninstall just make sure nothing about discord is running. You can do this with your game running and just open another ppm2 file and wear and it should be fixed. This was a perma fix for me BUT this is not a garenteed fix for you. Edit: You can have gmod running when you turn off discord, no matter what it will update itself as long as discord is on or off. Along with this you can also turn discord on after you're done with gmod and everything will be fine, its like a button as long as discord is running your ppm wont.
